Our before and after school care program is like no other. How? We aren’t just a place where your kids are dropped off and supervised for a few hours. Our staff deeply cares about each child that comes in these doors. We believe every child deserves special care and our curriculum is designed to provide just that! We accommodate our programs to our families, making it the best it can be for you.

Before School Care

$87.50 per week

Monday-Friday
6:30am-9:00am

Our before school program is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for your children. Each morning, we offer a healthy breakfast to ensure your child starts their day with the nutrition they need. The program includes small group structured games and moderate gym activities to keep them active and engaged, as well as social-emotional learning lessons to support their overall development.

We also provide a quiet, restful place for children who may need to complete homework or simply relax before the school day begins. Additionally, transportation to school is provided, ensuring a seamless transition from our program to their classrooms. Our goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your child is well-cared for and ready to start their day on the right foot.

After School Care

$87.50 per week

Monday-Friday
3:00pm-5:30pm

Our after school program offers a comprehensive and engaging experience for your child, ensuring their safety and enrichment while you’re at work. We provide reliable transportation from school to our center, so you don’t have to worry about logistics. Each day, dinner is provided by the HCPS nutrition program, ensuring your child receives a healthy meal.

Our program includes homework assistance to support academic success, and a variety of age-appropriate activities such as gym exercises, arts and crafts, STEM activities, and gaming. We aim to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning, creativity, and physical activity, making it an ideal choice for parents seeking quality after school care for their children.

Extended Care

$15 per week

Monday-Friday
5:30pm-6:00pm

Our extended care offers the same great benefits of after school programming, but with an extended pickup time. This is a great option for parents who may work later throughout the week.

Grades

Edgewood: Kindergarten – 8th grade.

Aberdeen: 4 yr Pre-K – 5th grade

Our teachers are happy to assist students with homework completion.

From LEGOs, to science experiments, to math-based games, our STEM activities will keep your child engaged and learning.

Students have the opportunity to participate in different enrichment activities such as cooking, painting, yoga, cheerleading, and more!

Social Emotional Learning

Our SEL curriculum helps children learn important skills like relationship building, problem-solving, coping skills, etc.

Facility Features

Safety & Security

Electronic Security: Coded entries so only authorized visitors may enter the facilities.

Hiring Process: All staff undergo extensive background checks.

Front Desk: Our front desks are always staffed so that watchful eyes are supervising each facility, ensuring authorized entries only.

Security Cameras: Every classroom in our facilities has security cameras that are monitored at the front desk. Staff can easily observe classroom activities throughout our programming.

Meals

A healthy breakfast is provided each morning before school.

Dinner is provided each afternoon through the HCPS nutrition program.

Transportation

Our well-maintained vans and shuttles are used to transport students to and from our center to school.

Our drivers are background-checked and have proper licensure.

One Program, Two Locations

We love Edgewood and Aberdeen! Our heart is for the community and to strengthen the families within it.

Our before and after-school programming is offered at both of our locations, making it convenient for you to pick the site that best fits your needs. 

Enrollment

How to Register

There is a $50 registration fee per household for the 2024-2025 school year.

 

1. Click the green “Register for Zone” button
2. Click on the Membership Tab and pay the $50 Family Registration/Membership Fee. Please make sure you select the correct location. Once you have completed the Membership portion, make sure you also complete Step 2. Your child will not be registered for Zone until you complete both steps.
3. Click on the SEMESTERS tab to select the location & programs that you need for your child. You should receive two separate emails from Sawyer if you have completed both steps.
Is the membership fee $50 per child?

No, the membership fee covers the cost of all children being registered within each household. 

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

Yes, we do. Please reach out to Hannah Leslie at [email protected]. Vouchers do not cover the membership fee.

Do you offer scholarships?

Yes, we offer scholarships for families who do not receive vouchers from the state. If you need an EPICENETR scholarship application, please email Lindsay Wilson at [email protected].
